How can you maximize the value of your benefits? As an in-network UnitedHealthcare dentist in Webster, our team is eager to assist you.

UnitedHealthcare Coverage Availability & Fees

UHC offers a variety of dental plans, so we cannot say anything firm about your coverage on this page. You should take a bit of time to familiarize yourself with the details of your unique plan so you understand how it works in different situations. In the meantime, though, we can provide a general overview of the coverage that is standard among many PPO policies:

  • Preventive care is often 100% covered. Services like routine cleanings and exams usually fall into this category.
  • Basic services are frequently up to 80% covered. Simple fillings and emergency pain relief are usually classified as basic services.
  • Major services may be around 50% covered. Root canal therapy, dentures and crowns are often placed in this category.

Keep in mind that not all plans apply to all services, and you may have additional fees to pay out of pocket. For example, most plans come with a deductible. You might also be subject to a waiting period before your plan allows access to certain benefits.

PPO plans also tend to come with an annual maximum, which is a yearly limit on the amount that UHC will pay for approved services. Because we are in-network with your insurance company, you may be able to get more out of your annual maximum when you visit us (as opposed to an out-of-network provider). In certain circumstances, we can even schedule major services between calendar years to allow for the use of two annual maximums instead of only one.
